Hello everyone! I apologize for being so inactive I was planning on posting the other day but so many incidents came up I became both scared and distracted.
So some of you know that on Instagram I had made a call out post regarding the incident. However now the issue has traveled to here on deviantart so I’m going to be explaining what’s going on.
A few years ago my friend Cassandra moved in with me, at the time she made a account by the user name Cassandrakitty180. During that time she had stolen characters from me which I confronted her about and she took down. But I still blocked her to make sure she wouldn’t do it again. Cassandra then made a new account servampkitty190 and once again started heavily referencing my art and stealing my stuff. So when I confronted her she said she would leave DA and delete that account because she was already planning on doing so. She found out I blocked both of her accounts before deleting them so she blocked me on Instagram so she could get away with stealing and copying more of my stuff. However a friend who has looked at her Instagram while I was asking them for advice about her had told me she was stealing from me again. This friend does not follow her on Instagram they were just curious about who the person harassing me was
I made a “highlight” on my Instagram about the issue showing proof and comparisons, however even after that Cassandra has not stopped. She made a new account named astellia190 and she has traced one of my artworks already.
Not only is she a thief but she has manipulated and lied multiple times To me my family and my friends. She moved out today however I’m afraid of her continuing to steal and manipulate people. Report or block her do not attack her, if you would like more information or a link to my Instagram to see the proof of her theft feel free to ask Or note me. I would just like people to be aware that she’s not a victim like she claims to be nor is she innocent

Another design vent

So ever since I joined deviantart and started posting/creating characters I’ve always had people even close friends tell me or get mad at me for having a similar character to them they accuse me of stealing a concept or design from them when it’s just coincidence and not intentional. Me being the one who hates fighting or starting anything I would simply change my designs.
I will not be doing that anymore
As I’ve grown up since then I realize a lot of my friends make designs and concepts similar to mine . I don’t get mad at them I don’t tell them anything I just continue on with my life. I feel I shouldn’t have to change my designs for friends who ask me too when they have similar designs and concepts to my characters aswell
There are people who I see who have similar designs and concepts to mine and I don’t yell or ask them to change anything because they don’t know me and I don’t know them. It was pure coincidence
There’s only so much you can do with a character till it’ll be overused there’s only so many color patterns personalities and types of styles to choose from there are going to be times where someone makes something similar.
I know in the past I was sorta similar only because the timing was a little off I was immature. And right after I made something my friends would make something really similar and I wanted to see them be more creative rather then always do what I did. But I’m older and I don’t care but I also don’t want to change my designs for others because they have similar hair color or a similar concept
I also don’t want to change my design and have my other friends get mad at me for letting certain people walk over me and yell at me for changing them.
ANYWAYS!
the point of this journal is to just say whether your a close friend someone I know or stranger no matter how big of a deal you make it I won’t change my characters anymore.

My art~

So I wanted to say recently I’ve been given a lot of advice and although I appreciate it and don’t care if you critic my artwork I should say that I don’t really listen to what you say .
I’ve always drawn for myself I’ve drawn to calm my anxiety and depression in the past I’ve never drawn to be a amazing artist I’ve never drawn to improve and I don’t ever plan to . I like the way I draw I wouldn’t post something on DeviantArt Instagram or other sites that I didn’t like or weren’t happy with or didn’t like. I post art because people who I’ve met like to see my art I don’t post to get critics or judged.
In the past I have had my moments where I wanted to improve something but even then I wanted wanted to improve at my own pace and learn it myself even if it took months.
I’m fine with whoever wants to pick out my flaws at the very least I’ll respond with a thank you but more then half the time I will not listen and only say thank you to be polite .
Point is ....I don’t draw to improve I draw because I love to draw and it’s the perfect way to deal with my issues , I don’t compare my art to others and although I’m fine with critics I never really listen if I want to improve I’ll do it at my own pace

Clear something up

Okay there’s been a lot of drama going about regarding someone’s character and there creator CLAIMING I took that characters design .
My character seiryuu

As you can see these two characters have something in common ......hair color . The creator claims she spoke to me about there clothing design and style but i do not remember .
When I first made seiryuu I was not even thinking about codess I had not talked to there creator for several months over a issue that made us separate . My character seiryuu was created when I was roleplaying with my friend nick I was inspired by his characters that he has given to me named Ajax and baimon so when I looked at those two creations I had gotten a idea for a new character .
I don’t see how seiryuu is a copy of codess besides the hair color as far as I’ve seen I have not copied her clothing design I have never been sent pictures or any references that showed me that codess has a similar clothing style to my character.
Even if that was so my character has a different story , she has longer hair , different eye color and as far as I know a different personality I don’t know enough about codess to make a rip off character .
I’m fine if people don’t believe me or go against me but I will say this now I will not change my character design over hair color . I don’t care how much the creator threatens me by saying she will end my existence . I designed my character a certain way and if hair color is the only thing me and several others can see to be the similarity then I will not change anything about my character .
On a side note if I do have a character that’s like a exact replica and trust me it has happen in the past with friends I am the type to willingly change one or two things if that person is upset and asks me nicely however this person has been rude and I don’t see anything else similar so the design will continue to remain the same .
